Job description:

  • Teaching elementary school students in after school classes, in the school.

Time:

  • From 10am-5pm weekdays. Actual teaching time starts at 1pm and is between 3 and 4 hours per day.

Working conditions:

  • You have the freedom to teach as you wish in your own classes, with the support of a co teacher as needed.
  • There is a monthly amount with which you may buy materials of your choosing.

Class size: Between 1 and 20, mostly around 15 or so.

Start: 12/3/07

Pay: 2.1 million + one month bonus if you stay for the full year.

  • Accomodation in a fairly new Apartment building or 300,000 accommodation allowance.

The apartment building for Dong Incheon is next to the Korea air headquarters, so there are other foreigners in the building (pilots).

Holidays: 2 weeks paid vacation. + plus Korean National holidays, (about another two weeks)

Location: 1st position: Bupyeong (major part of Incheon where subway lines intersect), About 40 minutes from Seoul.

2nd position: Dong-Incheon, near the end of line number one. you can get on the express subway and go straight to Bupyeong or Yongsan. It is about 1 hour from Seoul. It is also near the port. You can get ferries to different parts of China, as well as various offshore islands that are featured in the Lonely planet (under "island hoping in the West Sea")

Chinatown is right by here too, with great Chinese food.

The Pentaport Rock festival was held just a few miles from the school in Songdo.
